Aww. I was waiting for an ebook, but ended up pre-ordering a bunch of copies from amazon (ship date April 14, expected delibevery May 5, 2007 - May 14, 2007!!). Any chance of a "buy the book, get the ebook free/cheap? system?
I agree with lyricnz. I've ordered the printed book already and will have to wait till mid-May before receiving it. I'd love to get the eBook either for free (since it's cheaper than the printed one anyways) or if that's not possible, at a (strong?) discount.
Any chance this is possible?
Congrats on "#10"! That's why my book is (still) several days away.
I couldn't wait, so I also took the eBook plunge.
Does anyone know if Apress plans to roll in corrections to the eBook version as they are reported and confirmed by John & Matt?
I also do some Rails work, so my eBook "library" also has several titles from The Pragmattic Programmers (http://www.pragmaticprogrammer.com/). Instead of locking eBooks to email addresses, the Pragmatic guys "custom build" ebooks with the customer's name on each page on demand; corrections are rolled into the book's "source" files as they are reported and confirmed. When a new version is ready to roll out, customers of records are emailed with the news that a new version is ready. All in all, a very class act. I wish Apress would do the same.
Looks like I'll have to get the ebook before the regular book.
I ordered the book a week ago using the Amazon link to benefit the Drupal Association. I received an email today from Amazon informing me of a delay of four to six weeks in shipping. They give the option of waiting or canceling the order. I'm inclined to cancel and pick up the e-book instead to see if that meets my needs.
Does anyone know if Apress can deliver the book faster than Amazon at this point?

eBook Cost
See this comment by the Apress staff. Looks like you need to have a copy of the printed book in order receive the discounted price.
eBook updates?

Try another seller?
I believe Amazon has sold out all their stock and is awaiting more. But Barnes and Noble is showing shipment within 24 hours.
Received it today in The Netherlands
